Matt was trained in Big Law, has been a law firm partner, and served as General Counsel. He's more than just another lawyer. He's your advisor, your ally, and your consigliere, and when needed, he's your trial lawyer who has been battle tested and knows how to win in court.

Matt has represented individuals and families in personal injury and wrongful death cases and employment disputes, and he's represented businesses and executives in high-stakes commercial disputes. In addition to his law firm training and courtroom experience, Matt has been a high-ranking legal executive in publicly-traded and private companies. He has helped companies scale at speed, and been a part of two IPOs.

Matt has also founded two businesses so he understands legal issues from a business perspective.

As an outside counsel, Matt has counseled business leaders, entrepreneurs, other attorneys, and ultra high net worth individuals on matters ranging from real estate to disputes, investments, commercial transactions, and business strategy.

Courtroom Experience

As an advocate, Matt has had success in the courtroom, including a record-setting jury verdict, and many successful arguments on motions to dismiss and for summary judgment. He's also won appeals at the Seventh Circuit, secured favorable outcomes in mediation and arbitration, and won cases in state and federal courts around the country.
